Garmin International Inc finally granted the installation approval for all their newest “all in one” ADS-B transponder that can be equipped in helicopters. The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has granted Garmin with the Supplemental Type Certification which for the installation of both transponders. The GTX 345/335 transponders are the models Garmin has been successful in adding to the (FAA) Approved Model List (AML) which is of part of 27 helicopters. Crystal Group of Companies has been contracted provide the US Air forces rugged services that pertain to their B-2 Stealth Bombers. In dire need of an upgrade the Air force found Crystal in Hiwatha, Iowa that exclusively designs and manufactures “rugged computer hardware, including custom and commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) rugged servers, displays, power supplies, and embedded computing, networking, and data storage systems” for efficiency in harsh conditions and environments. “Crystal is to implement incremental technology that will allow the B-2 ACS to be able to adapt in the latest commercial available electronics. The U.S military is strengthening its defense even further with a new purchase order with BAE Systems. BAE will be providing a large quantity of laser-guided rockets. These will enable the military to use electro-optical smart weaponries with its fixed-wing aircrafts, helicopters, and unmanned aerial systems.
